I am a graphic artist, book designer and typesetter, illustrator/painter, and photographer. I was a graphic designer for the Medieval Institute at Western Michigan University for nearly 30 years . In 2011, I retired early from WMU and created a freelance business as a book designer & typesetter, and photo editor. In 2020, I began illustrating with colored pencil, and created a body of work inspired by images of birds from all over the world—brilliant colors, highly expressive, celebrating patterns and textures. The first section of this website is devoted to my bird drawings. Following sections will feature samples of book cover designs and page layouts, graphic design, Photoshop & Illustrator projects, photography, and illustrations/paintings. Enjoy!
