How I see myself and my practice within education
As a holistic educator, the practice and facilitating of mindfulness became an anchor with all my teaching endeavours. As an anchor, a threshold to move out from, the practice of mindfulness has shown itself to be of immense value for students as well as myself; so much so, that the pursuit of bringing mindfulness to educators, has become a powerful educational inquiry.
A thread I have chosen to follow throughout my educational journey is one where there is embedded invitation to learners and myself to investigate and engage in a way of living life where we might connect a visionary aim of ethical, compassionate wisdom, to the actual practice. The practice becoming the capability to express and know, ethical, compassionate wisdom in daily life. I believe the practice of Mindfulness can be a bridge to join this vision, or theory, to relevant practice. A meaningful space to explore the practice of mindfulness is education. Education can be a space where both learners and educators have the opportunity to experience for themselves what happens when we are mindfully cognitive of our communications with each other; where we can explore being reflective, metacognitive human beings.

I believe education is not confined to schools. Education is an underlying part of schooling, health, business, sports, of life.
Education is where we seek to know.
