Community Engagement

ESSCA (Evanston School Children's Clothing Association) provides school clothing for all Evanston/Skokie District 65 K-8th grade school children in need. Each year we provide a full wardrobe of clothing and shoes to 700+ children. Our clothing assistance services are performed efficiently and discreetly and always keep the dignity of the families in mind.

You may request ESCCA services for a District 65 child by contacting his or her school health clerk, social worker or school principal. 

ESCCA always needs donations of gently worn clothing. Please click here for an updated list of items we will accept all year long. Donations can be dropped off on the west side of the JEH Building (1500 McDaniel Ave., Evanston) or in the collection bin in Haven's lobby. We are in current need of the following items:

• Zip Up Hoodies, especially size 10-14

• Large Gloves

• Sweatshirts, size 10-14

• Sweaters, size 8-12

• Boys Shirts (long sleeve knit), size 10-16

• Lightweight Coats, size 10-12

• Snow Pants

• Leggings/Yoga Pants, size 14-16

ESCCA runs on the help of its volunteers. If you would like to volunteer at an evening ESCCA Serve to assist families as they choose their clothing, please contact the lincolnwoodptapresident@gmail.com
