- Raising conservation awareness of designed landscapes and gardens, orchards and arboreta.
- Encouraging heritage park or garden restoration and the creation of new gardens with small grants.
- Encouraging gardening in schools by offering advice to staff and parents.
- Researching and sharing stories of individual parks and gardens, including key designers.
- Helping new gardeners and students.
- Offering garden owners advice.
