Our Core Expectations
Pandamonium is a live-action personal-horror experience. We aim to create personal and unsettling stories—but we do so with care, safety, and mutual respect.
This document outlines what is expected of every participant who attends our event.
By attending this game, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct.
1. Play With Care
Consent is essential. Actions involving another player regarding physical contact, intense roleplay, secrets revealed, power used requires consent.
Use check ins and out of character tools when scenes get emotionally or physically intense, so you can calibrate the experience on the fly to create an incredible and consenal story on the fly.
If someone withdraws consent, stop immediately no questions, no pressure.
2. Horror Is In the Fiction, Not the Community
Characters may have experienced bigotry, malice, or exclusion as part of their backstory. These themes may appear in the setting as reflections of systemic or societal horror.
Players must never use real world identity (race, gender, sexuality, ability, etc.) as a reason to inflict in character harm.
There are countless in character reasons to be cruel: ideology, ambition, old betrayals. Use those instead, If you’re not sure whether something crosses the/a line ask before you act.
3. No Sexual Assault Roleplay. Period
Sexual assault is not a theme in Pandamonium. It must not be referenced, acted out, implied, or included in backstories or play.,
Any breach of this rule is grounds for immediate removal from the event.
4. Combat & Physical Action
There is no true physical combat, we will cover simulated violence in workshop.
Acted-out violence (e.g., staged choking, shoving, stabbing) must be fully pre-negotiated with all involved players and done with care.
You may always call a "Hold" to pause a scene for safety. This is every players right.
5. Death Happens
Characters may die in Pandaemonium. It's part of the story.
Death, like Combat, requires out-of-character consent and negotiation.
6. Play Nice, Even When You’re Playing Mean
Be a villain in character, not out of character.
Talk to your scene partners before and after intense play. Ask what they’re into. Debrief. Support each other.
Never use the game to settle real-world conflicts. Don’t blur that line.
7. We Take Reports Seriously,
If someone breaks this Code, speak to a staff member or safety coordinator.,
All concerns will be heard and addressed with discretion.,
We reserve the right to ask any player to leave if they violate these rules, with or without refund.,
8. Be Part of a Safer Game
Respect each other’s play styles, and limits.
Look out for each other, be conscious of other players needs, as players safety and needs are the responsibility of all.
Make space for others. Listen. Apologize if you mess up.
If you have suggestions or want clarification, we welcome your voice. This game is a shared story, and the best experience is built on trust.
