LIMESTONE ACADEMIC LEAGUE
The Limestone Academic League provides academic competition opportunities for middle and high school students in 11 counties in northeast and central Kentucky – Bath, Bourbon, Bracken, Clark, Fleming, Lewis, Mason, Montgomery, Nicholas, Robertson, and Rowan. The Limestone League was formed in 1985 as a competitive quick recall and written assessment league of teams in northeastern Kentucky.
The Limestone Academic League currently has a high school membership of 12 schools and a middle school membership of 9 schools. The league hosts high school & middle school varsity and junior varsity as well as written composition, FPS, and tournament competitions in the fall.
The Limestone Academic League has a long tradition of preparing teams for the Kentucky Association for Academic Competition’s Governor’s Cup play.
