What Is Your Inclement Weather Policy?
Children will be taught safety procedures during the hours of operation for emergency conditions. This will include fire drills, tornado drills, and building evacuations. The facility is equipped with emergency exit signs and an automatic fire alarm system in the case of emergencies. All parents/guardians will be contacted in the case of an emergency. If the center is closed due to inclement weather, all parents/guardians will be notified. All other emergencies have been developed and are posted for parent/guardian viewing. Detailed plans are also documented in the center’s emergency preparedness plan which is available for your viewing upon request.
What Supplies Do I Need to Provide?
Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. does not provide any materials. All material such as diaper, wipes, change of clothing, etc. needs to be provided by the parents/guardians.
Are The Employees Experienced & Qualified?
Yes, Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. is a family operation. The majority of the staff members have been in/around the business since they were adolescents. However, for the staff member that are not family, they have had prior experiences working with children in their previous positions. All staff members are required by the state of Georgia to have at least 10 hours of childcare training per year.
Have The Employees Been Trained in First Aid?
Yes, all staff members at Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. are CPR and First Aid Certified.
When Is the Center Closed?
We will likely be closed on New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday (TBA), Memorial Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July (TBA) followed by summer vacation, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (and the day after), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day (and the day after, which may result in winter break; TBA).
If we should be closed for any other reason, all parents/guardians will be notified in a timely manner.
Are Children Required to Be Up to Date on Their Immunizations?
Yes, all children attending Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. are required to up to date on all their immunizations. We required all parents/guardians to provided us with their child's most recent immunization record within the first 30 days of being at Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC.
What Group Will My Child Be In?
All children at Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. are divided up based on age and individual needs/achievements. At Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. we understand that all children move at their own pace and will not rush any child into anything they are not ready for.
Do You Help with Potty Training?
Yes, Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. assist with potty training. We will do our very best while your child is present at the center, all we ask if for parents/guardians is to do their part in the potty-training process while the child is away from us.
What Are the Ages of the Children in the Center?
At Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. we care for children ranging in ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age.
Do You Have a Limit on the Number of Children You Can Provide For?
Yes, at Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. #1, located in Thomson, Georgia, we are licensed to hold 47 children in our facility at a time. However, Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. #2, located in Wren, Georgia we are licensed to hold 54 children in the facility at a time.
What Does the Preschool Curriculum Focus On?
The preschool curriculum at our daycare center is designed to foster a love for learning while promoting cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Our program focuses on age-appropriate activities that stimulate creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Children engage in hands-on learning experiences, including interactive storytelling, group activities, arts and crafts, and outdoor play. No, Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. does not accept any outside food/drinks into the facility. This is in direct violation of the nutrition guidelines that we enforce while children are in the care of Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. However, if your child has any dietary restrictions or allergies, we ask that written authorization from the child's physician stating the child's specific dietary restrictions and/or allergies be provided to the center.
Do You Provide Meals for Those with Dietary Restrictions or Allergies?

We ask that all parents/guardians of children with dietary restrictions or allergies provide the center with all necessary food and/or drinks, so we can provide the best care for your child while at Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center LLC. Also, we ask that parents/guardians provide written authorization from the child's physician stating the child's specific dietary restrictions and/or allergies.

Yes, Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. participates in the Brightwheel application. Upon signing up your child, we ask all parents/guardians to download the app. Our staff updates the Brightwheel app daily with the status of each child at our center. This includes photos/videos, mealtimes, nap times, potty breaks, kudos, etc.
Yes, Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. will call you if your child is upset. We understand that our parents/guardians are busy throughout the day. First, we will try to calm your child down to the best of our abilities. If we cannot get them to calm down, we will not hesitate to give you a call.
Yes, Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. will call you if your child is injured. In the case of an accident/illness requiring immediate medical attention the parents/guardians will be called immediately. If the parent/guardian and/or emergency contacts cannot be reached. Emergency services will be called and if needed will transport your child. The center shall inform the parents/guardians of the incident/location of their child when reached. The primary parent/guardian will be responsible for any medical/transportation costs that occur. All other minor injuries/accidents will be assessed, treated, and documented (emergency/non-emergency) for parents/guardians.
Yes, there are camera on both the inside and outside of the facility.
Yes, all member of the staff is required by the state of Georgia to undergo a federal background check. All background checks are completed through Bright from the Start: Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL). Background checks are renewed on a regular basis. No personnel are allowed on the premises without a satisfactory determination by Bright from the Start.
Yes, Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. celebrates holidays with the children. Lil' Bo Peep Learning Center, LLC. hosts a number of events throughout the year into which all are welcomed to join.
