About the Conference

We would like to cordially invite you to the 53rd edition of the Conference on the Applications of Mathematics, traditionally held in Koscielisko near Zakopane. The aim of the conference is to present various applications of mathematics and to integrate the Polish community of applied mathematics. 

Like last year, some talks will be presented in English. In particular, this will concern the Data Analysis session and the meeting of the PL-MATHS-IN group. When submitting a paper or poster, please indicate your preferred language.

The conference is organized jointly by the Math Application Center Mathematical Center for Science and Technology at Institute of Mathematics Polish Academy of Sciences (IMPAN) and the Dioscuri Center in Topological Data Analysis (Centrum Dioscuri w Topologicznej Analizie Danych).

Conference fee

The conference fee is PLN 2700 for participants and PLN 2450 for accompanying persons (without coffee breaks and conference materials). Payments (in PLN) should be made after prior registration to the following account:

The payment deadline is August 14, 2025. All the fees, incluging ones for the accompanying persons, should be done via bank transfer to the account indicated above.

Abstracts should be sent by August 22, 2025 to zakopane@impan.pl using the attached template.

Competition for young mathematicians for the best presentation 

In accordance with the custom dating back to the 30th Conference, an award will be funded for young mathematicians (up to 32 years old) for the best presentation given at the conference. The condition for participation in the competition is to send, in addition to the abstract of the talk, a wider version of the work (e.g. a preprint or a copy of the published article). Competition Regulations (impan.pl).

Practical information

The conference will be held at the Rewita Center Zakopane Kościelisko https://www.rewita.pl/en/home-en/, 103 Nędzy Kubinca st., 34-511 Koscielisko. It begins with dinner on Sunday, September 14 and ends with early lunch on Saturday, September 20.

Piano concert

According to long-standing tradition, participants of the conference will be able to attend a piano concert by Prof. Tadeusz Trzaskalik, accompanied by tenor Michał Ryguła. The concert will be complemented by a historical commentary from Grażyna Brewińska (in Polish). More details can be found on the poster.
