# Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Lightning Tracker (“the App”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
## App Description
Lightning Tracker provides lightning tracking, storm radar, weather map layers, historical hotspot information, and nearby lightning alert features. The App is designed to help users understand lightning and storm activity more easily.
## Not an Emergency Service
Lightning Tracker is not an emergency service and should not be used as your only source of weather or safety information. Weather and lightning data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. Always follow official weather alerts, local authorities, emergency services, and safety guidance.
## Subscriptions and Premium Features
The App may offer free features and paid Premium subscriptions. Premium features may include nearby lightning alerts, expanded alert radius, radar playback, historical hotspots, exact distance context, and other advanced features.
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and managed by Apple. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings. Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies.
## Free Trials and Offers
If a free trial or promotional offer is available, the terms will be shown in the App before purchase. After the trial ends, the subscription may renew automatically unless canceled before the trial period ends.
## Location and Notifications
Some features require location access or notification permission. You can enable or disable these permissions in iOS Settings. If permissions are disabled, some features may not work as intended.
## Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the App, interfere with its services, attempt to reverse engineer or copy protected parts of the App, use the App for illegal purposes, or use automated systems to overload our services.
## Intellectual Property
Lightning Tracker, including its design, branding, software, interface, text, graphics, and related content, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without permission.
## Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services such as Apple, Weatherbit, RainViewer, AppActor, and other infrastructure providers. We are not responsible for third-party service availability, accuracy, policies, or content.
## Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that lightning, radar, weather, alert, or hotspot data will always be accurate, complete, timely, or available.
## Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses resulting from weather decisions, missed alerts, inaccurate data, service interruptions, or use of the App.
## Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.
## Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms.
