For 50 years, Lighter Side Movement Group, Inc. (LSM) has brought people together through music, faith, friendship, and service.
LSM is a non-profit, community-based music organization composed of students, professionals, musicians, and friends from different generations and backgrounds, united by a shared passion for music and a commitment to serving the Lord and the community.
What began in 1975 as a choral ministry has grown into a vibrant community built around one simple purpose:
LSM serves as a resident choir for Eucharistic celebrations at San Felipe Neri Parish in Mandaluyong City, as well as at the Chapel of the Eucharistic Lord in SM Megamall and the EDSA Shrine.
Through the years, LSM has served through Eucharistic celebrations, concerts, competitions, festivals, cultural events, fundraising activities, and community outreach programs.
Our musical journey has also brought us to significant events in the Philippine choral community, including the 2023 Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival Manila and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra's 2022 presentation of Handel's Messiah at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Music may be at the heart of LSM, but service has always been at the heart of our music. Beyond our music ministry, we actively participate in community outreach programs, blood donation drives, youth activities, senior citizen programs, group recollections, fundraising and benefit events, chorale competitions, and cultural activities. From our home in San Felipe Neri Parish, Mandaluyong City, we continue to grow as a community that uses music as a means to inspire, connect, and serve. As we celebrate 50 years, we look forward to reaching more communities throughout Metro Manila and eventually, all over the Philippines, while continuing our mission of Serviam Cantamus — Serving Through Singing.
