The Ligao City Heritage Library and Museum follows the Library of Congress Classification System, which divides human knowledge into 21 main classes, each identified by a single letter of the alphabet.
Filipiniana Section
Filipiniana refers to materials or resources about the Philippines, produced within or outside the country by Filipinos or non-Filipinos, in any of the Philippine languages or dialects (except Bicol) or a foreign language. Books in this section are available for circulation or borrowing for home reading purposes. Books in this section are tagged with a yellow call number pasted on the spine for easy location on shelves.
General Circulation Section
The General Circulation Section refers to the area where most of the library’s books and materials are housed and available for checkout by the general public. Books in this section are mainly written by foreign authors. Books in this section are tagged with a white call number pasted on the spine for easy location on shelves.
General Reference Section
This section provides general reference materials such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases, almanacs, etc. Books in this section can only be used inside the library.
Fiction Section
This includes a variety of well-selected stories and novels written by famous local and foreign authors that are available for recreational reading.
Bicoliana Section
Bicoliana refers to resources related to the Bicol Region, encompassing its culture, history, literature, and other aspects.
Rizaliana Section
Rizaliana materials refer to resources related to Dr. Jose Rizal. These materials can include his writings, letters, biographies, scholarly works about him, and other resources that shed light on his life, works, and contributions to Philippine history and culture.
Special Collections
Special Collections are unique in form, focused on a specific topic, originated from a particular period or geographical area, are rare or limited in print, otherwise difficult to find, or fragile and valuable.
Children's Corner
Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while using the public library facilities. Unaccompanied children may be asked to leave unless participating in a library-sponsored program or event specifically designed for their age group. This rule is implemented to ensure the safety and well-being of children and to promote responsible library usage.
Periodical Section
This section displays current issues of periodicals and newspapers on a sloping shelf designed to allow the front covers to face forward.
Internet/Computer Section
The Ligao City Heritage Library and Museum provides access to the internet through 11 units of computers, for a maximum of one (1) hour.
Museum
Senior Citizen's Area
