A chameleon is best known for blending in with its habitat, and that includes a diverse jungle.

that mix or absorb heat to create new skin tones.

A chameleon's colors can attract a mate or deter an enemy.

Most noticeable is a chameleon's eyes that move in two directions,

which give it a panoramic view of its surroundings.

Both predators and prey animals use camouflage to their advantage. Predators blend in with the background so their prey won’t see them approaching until it’s too late.
