PRIVACY POLICY FOR LIFELINK
Effective Date: 31-07-2026
Last Updated: 31-07-2026
LifeLink (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) is an Android application designed to help people in Pakistan post blood requests, find available blood donors, contact city volunteers, and communicate through in-app chat.
This Privacy Policy explains what information LifeLink collects, how it is used, who may access it, and the choices available to users.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
A. Google Sign-In Information
When you sign in with Google, LifeLink may receive:
• Your Google account name
• Email address
• Google account identifier
• Profile information made available by Google
• Authentication and session information
Google Sign-In is used to create and secure your LifeLink account.
B. LifeLink Profile Information
When setting up your account, we collect:
• Username
• Full name
• City
• Mobile/WhatsApp number
• CNIC
• Blood group, if provided
Your full CNIC is transmitted securely for duplicate-account prevention. LifeLink stores a keyed one-way fingerprint of the CNIC and its last four digits. The complete CNIC number is not stored in the main application database and is never displayed publicly.
C. Donor Information
If you choose “Show Me in Donor List”, we collect and use:
• Full name
• Blood group
• Age
• City and area
• Last donation date, if provided
• Donation availability status
Donor search may display your name, blood group, age, city, area, last donation information and availability to signed-in LifeLink users.
Your phone number is not displayed in the public donor list. It may be provided to an authenticated user when they deliberately select an allowed Call or WhatsApp contact action.
You may hide yourself from donor search at any time by turning off donor availability.
D. Blood Request Information
When you create a blood request, we may collect and display:
• Patient name
• Required blood group
• City and area
• Number of units
• Urgency level
• Contact number
• Request status
• Request creation and update times
Request information is shown to signed-in users and relevant city volunteers so that blood assistance can be arranged.
Contact numbers are not displayed directly in public request lists. They may be revealed when an authenticated user uses an allowed contact feature.
Please do not include unnecessary medical records, CNIC numbers or other sensitive information in a blood request.
E. Chat and Communication Data
LifeLink stores:
• In-app chat messages
• Conversation participants
• Message timestamps
• Read/delivery status
• Unread message counts
• Chat clearing or deletion status
Online status, last-seen time and temporary typing indicators may be shown to the other participant during a conversation.
Chat participants can use “Delete from Me” or “Delete from Everyone”. “Delete from Me” hides the conversation history for that user but may not immediately remove the underlying messages from the other participant’s account.
F. City Volunteer Information
Users applying to become City Volunteers may provide:
• Full name
• Username and password
• Phone number
• City and area
• Application note
• Approval and account status
Applications are reviewed by a LifeLink administrator.
Approved City Volunteers may receive notifications about blood requests and new registered donors in their assigned city.
G. Private Donors Added by City Volunteers
A City Volunteer may privately record donor details, including:
• Donor name
• Blood group
• Age
• Phone/WhatsApp number
• Area
• Donation availability
These private donor records are not shown in the public donor search. They are accessible to the City Volunteer responsible for them and to authorized administrators. An administrator may reassign these records to another City Volunteer for continuity of service.
H. Notifications and Device Information
If notifications are enabled, LifeLink collects:
• Firebase Cloud Messaging device token
• Android platform information
• Notification delivery status
• Related request, message or conversation identifiers
This information is used to deliver blood request alerts, chat messages, account approvals and request progress updates.
Notification titles and message previews may appear on the device lock screen depending on the user’s Android notification settings.
I. Reports, Security and Operational Records
If you report a donor, user, message or blood request, we may store:
• Reporter account
• Reported content identifier
• Report reason and details
• Review status
• Administrative action
• Relevant timestamps
LifeLink may also maintain security and audit records to prevent fraud, investigate misuse and protect users.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use collected information to:
• Create and manage LifeLink accounts
• Prevent duplicate or fraudulent accounts
• Display relevant donors and blood requests
• Match users by blood group and city
• Enable in-app chat, calls and WhatsApp contact
• Send blood request and message notifications
• Manage City Volunteer applications and activity
• Allow administrators to moderate the service
• Investigate reports, fraud and unsafe behavior
• Maintain security and service reliability
• Comply with applicable legal requirements
LifeLink does not sell or rent personal information.
LifeLink does not currently use personal information for advertising or targeted marketing.
3. INFORMATION VISIBLE TO OTHER USERS
Depending on the feature used, other signed-in users may see:
• Your name or username
• City and area
• Blood group
• Donor age and donation availability
• Blood request and patient details
• Request status
• Chat presence and typing status
Phone numbers are hidden from general lists but may be disclosed when an authenticated user deliberately starts an allowed call or WhatsApp contact.
Messages are visible to the participants of that conversation.
4. SERVICE PROVIDERS AND EXTERNAL SERVICES
LifeLink uses third-party services necessary to operate the App:
• Supabase — authentication, database, realtime chat, server functions and access control
• Google Sign-In — account authentication
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — Android push notifications
• Google Play Services — Android application services
• WhatsApp — only when a user chooses the WhatsApp contact option
• Android Phone/Dialer — only when a user chooses the Call option
These providers process information according to their own privacy policies.
Selecting Call or WhatsApp transfers the relevant phone number and, for WhatsApp, a prepared message to the selected external application. LifeLink does not control how that external application processes information after it is opened.
5. DATA STORAGE AND INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
LifeLink is intended primarily for users in Pakistan.
Data may be processed or stored outside Pakistan through our service providers. The current Supabase project may process data in its configured South Asia region, and Google services may process data in other countries.
By using LifeLink, you understand that information may be processed in countries with data-protection rules different from those in Pakistan.
6. DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable safeguards, including:
• Encrypted network connections
• Authentication and session controls
• Database row-level access controls
• Role-based administrator and City Volunteer access
• Restricted contact-number disclosure
• A keyed one-way CNIC fingerprint
• Removal of unnecessary Android storage permissions
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should not share passwords, money, complete CNIC images, medical reports or unnecessary sensitive documents through LifeLink chat.
7. DATA RETENTION
We retain account and operational information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide LifeLink, maintain safety, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.
• Active profile and donor information is retained while the account remains active.
• Blood requests remain active for their configured period and may remain stored for request management and safety records until deleted with the associated account.
• Chat messages remain until deleted, cleared under the available chat controls, or removed through account deletion.
• Device notification tokens are disabled on sign-out and deleted with the associated account.
• Reports and security records may be retained where reasonably necessary for moderation, fraud prevention, dispute handling or legal compliance.
• Completed City Volunteer case statistics may be retained in de-identified form.
• Private donor records added by a City Volunteer are not deleted merely because that Volunteer account is closed. They may become unassigned or be reassigned by an administrator so the donor network is not lost. A donor may contact us to request correction or removal of such a record.
8. ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION
Normal users and City Volunteers can request account deletion inside LifeLink:
My Account → Delete Account
Deleting an account removes the authentication account and associated profile, donor listing, blood requests, chats, notifications and device tokens, subject to limited retention required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or de-identified service statistics.
Administrator accounts may require transfer or removal by another administrator to protect service continuity.
Users who no longer have access to the App can request deletion at:
https://sites.google.com/view/lifelinkprivacypolicy/delete-account
or contact:
shahzaibmustafa1996@gmail.com
A deletion request should include the email address used for Google Sign-In or the registered username. Do not send a complete CNIC by email.
Revoking Google access or uninstalling LifeLink does not automatically delete the LifeLink account. Users must use the in-app deletion option or the external deletion request method.
9. USER CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Users may:
• Review and update profile information
• Enable or disable donor availability
• Manage or close their own blood requests
• Clear chat history
• Enable or disable notifications
• Sign out
• Delete their account
• Request correction or removal of personal information
• Report unsafe or fraudulent content
Requests can be sent to [PRIVACY EMAIL].
10. CHILDREN AND MEDICAL SAFETY
LifeLink is not designed for children under 13.
Blood donors must meet the age requirements shown in the App. The hospital or licensed blood bank makes the final decision regarding donor eligibility and blood compatibility.
If blood is required for a minor, the request should be created and managed by a parent, guardian or responsible adult who has permission to provide the patient information.
LifeLink connects users but does not provide medical advice, clinical screening, emergency services or a guarantee that blood will be available.
11. NO SALE OF PERSONAL DATA
LifeLink does not sell personal data, donor information, CNIC information, chat messages or contact information.
LifeLink does not use personal data for third-party advertising.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy when LifeLink features, legal requirements or service providers change.
The updated policy will be published at the same URL with a revised “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated inside the App.
