Reflection

I still chose a topic that is still very interesting to me which is comprehensive sexual education. When considering the nature of the company, I hesitated for a long time among non-profit organizations and startups.  Following a series of market surveys, I concluded that startups n this industry are also highly marketable and can attract potential investors, so I decided to give this a try and named this startup Life Code.

Comprehensive sexual education is a relatively new field in the Chinese market. In order to occupy this blank market, the most important thing is to enhance the core competitiveness and ensure the high quality of products. According to my analysis of Codemao in assignment 1, collaborating with schools to occupy the education market is the best way to take advantage of the opportunity and the least likely to be replaced by competitors, so this is our company's most important expansion goal. Simultaneously, like Codemao, Life Code uses the OMO model to develop the company's business both online and offline. In order to increase the company's attractiveness to the customer base, multiple functions such as community communication functions, online and offline activities, lectures, and training are covered. These functions are also profit points for Life Code and are also several highlights of attracting investors.

When I was making Elevator Pitch, I began with a detailed explanation of the current terrible situation and problems. However, I want to show too much data, which causes my video to move at a rapid pace. Even though I have deleted some content before I publish it, based on feedback from my peers, they are still at a loss and have missed a lot of content when watching it. This is where I need to improve and focus on the most important information for audiences. Too much content will obscure the focus of what the pitch wants to express. Simultaneously, adding a voice-over may aid the audience's understanding of the entire project.

According to feedback from my peers, since the Chinese market may be an unfamiliar l market for potential investors, it would be better if I could include some examples to demonstrate the viability of this market in China. I'm also unconfident about doing competitor analysis. Although I am aware that there are no companies in this field in the Chinese market, I am unsure whether I have ignored other types of departments or whether other mature foreign companies are seeking to enter the Chinese market.

The most challenging aspect of the project for me is that I don't know how to financially evaluate the pricing of each service to keep the company profitable. At the same time, I'm not sure how much investment this startup company should need or what share proportion this startup company should give. As a result of not providing specific financial analysis, we may lose some potential investors.

I am grateful that this project allowed me to slow down and carefully imagine how a company could develop more effectively. The experience of Assignment1 with Codemao's enterprise analysis provided very helpful ideas for the company I founded this time, particularly in the formulation of business models.
