F.A.I.T.H.

the building blocks of our spiritual life

 What is F.A.I.T.H.?

F.A.I.T.H. serves as the building blocks of our spiritual life, depicted as a jigsaw puzzle in the diagram. Although growth is non-linear, each piece is important and builds on one another.

Our spiritual lives would be lacking if one piece is missing, regardless of the strength of the others. The hands symbolise lives joining together for mutual support in our spiritual journey.

 WHY F.A.I.T.H.?

F.A.I.T.H. (Fellowship, Adoration, Involvement, Transformation, Harvest) gives the Life Groups a structure to run their group meetings with the objective of growing in all 5 areas.

F.A.I.T.H. focuses on growing deeper in our understanding of each component. This helps us to align with our vision and purpose. This cannot be accomplished without YOU.

Fellowship: Loving One another

True fellowship, or “Koinonia”, means connecting with one another at a deeper level.

This is done through authentic sharing of our joys, sorrows, and other experiences, to build up our relationship with God and to grow in loving one another. Everyone contributes to a safe and welcoming environment based on love.

A healthy LG is committed to vulnerability because it is the key to forming deep fellowship and genuine communities. Our vulnerability keeps us humble, focuses our eyes on Christ and His redemption. It is therefore a necessary part of a healthy group.

ADoration: Loving GOD

Adoration is about worship, love, and reverence to God. It is God’s intention for us, as created beings, to love and worship Him.

Worship is not limited to singing songs of praise at Sunday services & group meetings. It is about committing our entire lives to pleasing Him.

True worship of God is a valuing or a treasuring of God above all things; it is based on a right understanding of God’s nature, and it is a right valuing of God’s worth.

There are two key aspects of worship:

Involvement: serving GOD

Involvement is to serve, support and minister to members through church ministries.

As mentioned in Adoration, we express our love and gratitude to Him by serving the wider community through acts of kindness and love, bringing a glimpse of God’s love to the world.

We are all ministers of Christ and God has blessed us with unique gifts that enable us to minister and flourish in unique ways.

Transforming: BECOME MORE LIKE JESUS

Transformation is not simply altering external behaviours or striving for self-improvement.

True transformation involves a profound change that originates from the depths of our hearts; a shift or renewal from a life that adheres to worldly values to one that pleases God.

Through the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, we grow in Christlikeness, “bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God” (Col 1:10, ESV). This is the result of an intimate relationship with God.

Harvest: REACHING OTHERS WITH GOD’S LOVE

The word “mission” itself comes from the Latin verb missio, which means "to send." Jesus sent His followers to share the gospel to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8-9).

Even though God can proclaim the Good News Himself, He has given us the amazing privilege of sharing this Good News to everyone, giving us the ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor 5:18-20, ESV), working through us in calling all to turn to Christ in repentance and faith.
