*Required* Transponder Mounting Location:
On a full frame vechicle the mounting location is 12" behind the rear axle on the frame
(or any unibody car with no rear frame rail)
As close to 12" Behind the Rear axle as you can get
We understand there is no frame rail or the rail just may not be an option due to interference, we suggest the outside of the spare tire well behind the rear tire. It is one of the closest points to the track on our cars and the least likely to take damage.
NOTE: if you have an active subscription on an X2 transponder and it gets damaged in a crash or during racing, IT IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, and will be replaced by mylaps at no charge.
Be sure the transponder has a clear path to the track surface and is mounted in the correct direction! (dont mount it sideways)

General Info:
There are a few different styles of transponders (TR2, X2, Flex, AMB 260) and but there are two types: One that requires a yearly subscription and one that does not.
A transponder can be purchased directly from mylaps, Oval Speed, or you can buy one used from other racer. If you are buying a transponder from another racer that does require a subscription make sure the seller changes their sign in information and provides that to you, you will need to be able to sign in online, and register, update, and renew the transponder when the subscription expires.
Each transponder requires the appropriate bracket to mount it to your vehicle, these can be purchased directly from mylaps or Oval Speed.
Note the pin locations are completely different between the two clips (see the arrow that points toward the track)
