Hi, I'm Li Ding.
I am an Assistant Professor of the ITOM Department at Nanyang Technological University. I received my Ph.D. from Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech in 2024.
I am passionate about exploring how technology and innovation can drive positive social changes. My current research focuses on the social impacts of gig economy and socially responsible supply chains. I analyze big data and conduct experiments across various gig platforms, including online labor markets, food delivery, and crowdfunding platforms. My research aims to understand how individuals make discretionary decisions and develop interventions to improve efficiency, inclusiveness, and equity within these systems.
Another context I am interested in is global supply chains, where firms often lack visibility into labor practices deeper in their supply network. Here, my work aims to provide insights to help companies and policymakers uphold ethical labor standards in the workplace.
