LIBS-SCReeN at the 125th Anniversary of the Geological Survey of Belgium

The event celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the Geological Survey of Belgium (GSB) took place on Thursday, 09 June 2022, at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences in Brussels.

During the lunch time, the ongoing research of the GSB was demonstrated through various booths spread in the Museum of Natural Sciences. Our project LIBS-SCReeN was featured in the booth dedicated to showcase the "Development of innovative geochemistry instrumentation". One of the LIBS instruments set up in the framework of our project was displayed in action doing a rapid mapping of a zinc-lead ore sample.

We estimate that around 50 participants of the event came to our booth with questions and topics of discussion about LIBS and the project.
