Below are lesson plans, worksheets, and materials from my time as an art teacher. Please feel free to use them as long as you credit me (Sarah Pepin). You just need to make a copy. Most of these are targeted loosely for the Texas standards for high school art, and a lot of them have a Spanish translation underneath the English. Some of the links might not work, but hopefully they do.

The PowerPoint for the Cartography Project
These always make me happy, sorry the slideshow doesn't work.
Inktober! I changed up the prompts every year. These are great warm-ups.
Ceramic Paint Palettes - Make sure to finish these. We didn't get a chance to until the next semester, and the students had lost interest.
Goddess/Gods - This one is fun to see what the kids come up with.

Color Theory Project
A.R.T. Foundation - Definitely based off of the S.C.P. Foundation, just more alien orientated.
Ant-ART-ica - There is a Wiki I made with all my student's projects. This was easier to do during COVID with all the time in the world to make a wiki.
Artlantis - Like Ant-ART-ica, but underwater.
Final Art Project for Art 1 - They had different choices for prompts and I had done a bad job about having students work on huge pieces so this was a big deal.
Art Gallery - This one requires lots of gesso and boxes, but it was so cool to see what students came up with.
Black History Month - I never got this lesson quite right and definitely should've used consulted others about this.
Alebrijes - You'll need lots of foil and masking tape, but this was a great project, and you can use the crappy school towels for paper maché.
War - This focused on the Ukraine War and different artists that were inspired by war.
Chinese New Year - Hopefully this is the whole PowerPoint.
Family Portraits - This is good for students to connect to their family.
Lyric Project - This was based off a song and I had the time to put this together because of COVID.
Self Portrait - I did this at the beginning of the year, but would now change it to after going through drawing faces.
Grid Project - This is a good project to give students a tool for drawing more accurate pieces.
Snowflake Project - This is a good winter one, so it's not all Christmas orientated.
Plein Air - This was fun to take the kids outside, and we went over atmospheric perspective beforehand.
Book Making - We made a diamond fold accordion book. My dad showed me how to make this, and they turned out pretty great.
Book Cover - This is fun for National Novel Writing Month (November).
Origami Butterflies - Our district had butterflies around central office, so it can make a good instillation.
Dream House or Room - This is great for perspective drawing.
