Access to the library is restricted to students at the college who are in possession of current valid library card issued by Library. User will be held responsible for misuse of his/her card.
It is necessary to maintain strict silence, decorum and discipline inside the library. Library users are therefore reminded that conversation or act in any way which disturbs the functioning of the library is not permissible. Failure to comply result in the suspension of library privileges.
Phones should be either switched off or set on silent mode and use of headphones or other audio devices may be restricted.
The Users should not leave bags or belongings on the reading table.For reasons of security,valuable personal possessions should not be left in bags.Library shall bear no responsibility in case of damage or theft of personal property.
The consumption of food and other eatables is not permitted inside the library.
Distributing leaflets,notices etc are not allowed in any part of library except with the pemission of the library staff.
Reference sources,newspapers etc should not be taken outside the library.
Every user must sign the visitor register available at the entrance.
Users should take care of the library resources and facilities. Marking library books with pencil or ink, tearing pages or spoiling the same or damage library materials in any other way will be viewed seriously. User
may be charged for the cost of repair or replacement of library resources.
Borrowing library items without proper authorization or checking them out is strictly prohibited. Every student at the time of borrowing books from the Library shall produce his/her Identity Card.
Under graduate students shall be permitted to borrow two books at a time for a maximum period of 15 days. If a student fails to return the same within prescribed time period, overdue charges/fine @ Rs 1/- per day /per book shall be recoverable from the students.However, four books are issued to the faculty members at a time for a period of one month.
Any person who either loses a book or otherwise damages it shall be liable to pay an amount not less than double the cost of the book.
Members of the College staff or the establishment at the time of leaving the College or transfer, retirement or otherwise shall return all the books borrowed by them before the LPC or “No Demand” certificate is issued in his favour.
Books belonging to Reference and rare will not be issued. Students have to make use of these books in the library only.
