Welcome to Library or Hong Samut in Thai, this website was created to inform people about a small school in Thailand called Ban Nam Dua. The school would like to improve the quality of their education by renovating their library so it can be bigger to hold more students and include more books. Ban Nam Dua school lacks the funding to make this happen because the school is situated in a low class neighborhood where some of the families find it hard to afford their daily necessities of life such as food. They would like to ask you to help them by donating to build a library so they can improve the quality of their children's learning and expand their knowledge.

Hello there!

My name is Jittanan and I have lived in Canada since I was 8 years old, though I was born in Thailand. I visited Thailand in July 2018 to volunteer at Ban Nam Dua school and to teach English to the grade four students. When volunteering at this school, I realized that the school was small for the amount of students it holds. There are around 102 students but the students must share classrooms because there is not enough space in the school. I also noticed that the school library was about the same size or maybe even smaller than the actual classroom. The school have a hard time getting funding to support educational activities because it is located in a poor neighborhood.

This project is to raise money for the school so they will be able to renovate their library. It would greatly help out the school and the students attending there.
