This discussion sample is a reflection on how banned books are taught in classrooms. I discuss the advantages and disadvantages for teaching banned books. The example Banned Book was Charlotte's Web. This classic children's book is on the ALA Banned Book list every year. I discuss how censoring reading is a violation of children's Right to Read. I believe that banning books is bad, but that parents, children and librarians always have choice in what they read or don't read.
