I began my search on Rebecca Crown looking for biographies on composers and what classical music is. I also searched Chicago Public Library to see what they offered. The Lives of the Great Composers I found through Crown, The Classical Music Lover’s Companion to Orchestral Music and Classical Music I found on book lists pertaining to classical music involving the era and it's composers. Besides finding lists, I used keywords such as "classical music", "Beethoven life", and "Mozart biography".
