The Liberty Middle School Choir under the direction of Mr. Stacy Daniels is open to all students, grade sixth through eighth grade at Liberty Middle School in Madison, Alabama. There are three ensembles within the Liberty Choir; The Beginning Choir, The Lion Chorus, and The Liberty Singers. Students are placed in each ensemble based on grade and voice type. All choral ensembles participate in our major concerts and performances each year, that consist of: Winter Concert, Veteran's Day Program, State Choral Performance Asssessement, and the Spring Concert. The Liberty Choir also participates in the Alabama All-State Choir, ACDA Young Voices Festival, Madison County Honor Choir, and university honor choir festivals. Each Spring, the Liberty Choir goes on our annual Spring Trip! Places visited include: Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida & Six Flags Over Georgia!
THE CHOIRS
BEGINNING CHOIR
The entry-level ensemble of Liberty Choir is the Beginning Choir. This choir consists of all sixth graders, male and female. In this class, students will focus on singing fundamentals, vocal technique, beginning sight-reading, and music theory. The choir will primarily sing unison and two-part choral pieces. This choir meets during _ BLOCK at Liberty Middle School.
LION CHORUS (TENOR/BASS CHOIR)
The tenor-bass ensemble of Liberty Choir is the Lion Chorus. Ths choir consists of seventh and eight grade boys. In this class students will focus on singing fundamentals, vocal technique, stage presence, two part sight sight-reading, and music theory. Students will perfrom traditional choral literature, as well as pop songs, and rounds. This choir meets during _ BLOCK. This class is open to new and returning students at Liberty Middle School.
