Katja was born in 1998 in Germany and is currently doing her B.Sc. in Biochemistry at the Technical University of Munich. She joins the Liao group for a summer research internship via the DAAD RISE program.

In her free time, she likes doing gymnastics and exercise in general, and she enjoys travelling a lot.
