Vinothkumar Mani 

Vinothkumar was born on May 1994 in Tamil Nadu, India. He did his Bachelor's degree (2014) and Master's (2016) from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India. He done his Master's dissertation in “Isolation of Cinnamic acid derivatives from (2,4-dihydroxy-3-methoxy cinnamic acid) Lemonia Crunulata Plant” under the supervision of Prof.Dr. R. Ulagi. After completing his Master's degree, he earned a Bachelor of Education (2018) from Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai, India.

He worked as a Research Assistant (Jun. 2024 – Aug. 2025) under Prof. G. Sekar at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India, focusing on the “Green synthesis of biologically active heterocyclic compounds using photocatalysis and asymmetric synthesis strategies.”

This experience, coupled with prior research at CSIR-NCL, Pune, India, (Feb. 2022 – Jul. 2022) focused on Discovery and Development of antivirals for COVID-19 and other diseases” with deep exposure to advanced synthetic methodologies, And at CSIR-NIIST, Trivandrum, India, (Mar. 2019 – Nov. 2020) focused “Recovery of rare earth metals from titanium mineral industrial leach liquor.”

He joined Prof.Liao’s group as a Research Intern in Fall 2025.

His hobbies were Cycling, Badminton, Gardening, Poetry Writing.
