Frederike Saal was born in 2005 in Halle (Saale), Germany. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Leipzig University. In spring 2026, she spent a semester studying abroad at Umeå University in Sweden. Frederike will join the HHL group in September 2026 for a research internship through the DAAD RISE and IIPP programs.

In her free time, Frederike is engaged in the club "Friends of the Chemistry Olympiad"  and enjoys reading novels, listening to podcasts and music, playing sports, and learning Swedish.
