Ballanki Trinadh
Mr. Ballanki Trinadh was born on August 10, 1998, in Ballanki, a village in the Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh. He started his education in his village and later cleared the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) entrance exam in 2008. He studied from 6th to 12th grade at JNV Kommadi, Visakhapatnam, where he did well in academics, scoring
9.8 CGPA in Class 10 and 79% in Class 12.
In 2015, he cleared the CUCET exam and joined the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) for an Integrated M.Sc. (IMsc) in Chemistry. He completed the course with a CGPA of 8.41. As part of his academics, he worked on a research project in Dr. M.S.P’s lab, focused on “Synthesis of Oxindole Tethered α, β-Unsaturated Keto Esters Through Wittig Reaction.”
He is not only good at studies but also active in sports. He played cricket and kabaddi for JNV at the national level and later took part in South Zone university-level tournaments during college. His success in both academics and sports shows that he has a well-rounded personality.
In 2020, he cleared the GATE exam and began his Ph.D. in Chemistry at NIT Tiruchirappalli, under the supervision of Dr. Baby Viswambharan. His research focuses on “Sustainable approaches towards the C3-functionalization of indoles and synthesis of organosulfur compounds,” and during his Ph.D., he published four research papers in highly reputed journals. He was also honored with two Best Oral Presentation Awards at national conferences for his contributions to research. He is currently in the final stage of his Ph.D. and will be submitting his thesis soon
His hobbies include playing cricket, kabaddi, and volleyball, as well as watching movies.
He joined Prof. Liao’s group as a Research Intern in Fall 2025.
