Arvin Monte de Ramos

Hey there! I’m Arvin Monte de Ramos, but you can just call me Vin. At home, my parents call me Clong-Clong—don’t ask me why, ‘cause honestly I don’t even know (haha), but it’s been my nickname ever since.

I was born on January 7, 2000, so yep, I’m 25 years old now. Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with chemistry, and that led me to where I am today. I’m a licensed chemist in the Philippines, and right now I’m working on my Master’s degree in Chemistry at MSU-IIT (Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology) here in Iligan City.

Back in my undergrad, I started out in Natural Products Chemistry, and that really opened my eyes to how cool research can be. For my Master’s, I shifted to Organic Chemistry, which has been challenging but super fulfilling. In the future, I’m hoping to branch out into Biochemistry too. Honestly, I’d love to explore and master as many fields of chemistry as I can—if my brain can still keep up with all that studying, haha!

At the end of the day, what drives me is my dream to really work in the research industry and contribute in my own way. I love the idea of constantly learning, experimenting, and discovering new things. So yeah, that’s me—a chemist, a lifelong learner, and someone who’s excited to see where this journey will take me next.
