Aslûdag-babri

The aslûdag-babri (meaning deathrattle in Glakesh) is a 15 meter long, black rattlesnake that stalked the deserts and volcano bases of Trinity at night. The rattle of the aslûdag-babri can emit low-denisty mindchords which to targeted prey mimic recognizable auditory hallucinations such as voices, machines, other beasts, and weather. The aslûdag-babri surrounds its victims with astonishing speed, followed by constricting then eating them whole. The aslûdag-babri also has the unique property of hexagon scales, increasing resistance to abrasion from the sharp volcanic rock of its habitat. 

Zhāng culture believe the aslûdag-babri to be the offspring of the trickster god Zalmekch and are considered formidable foes. Overhunting of the aslûdag-babri’s prey in Trinity led to the largest aslûdag-babri migrating south into the Casdon highlands and even into Pahru. These creatures became a nightmare for travelers at night and local farmers, some aslûdag-babri even gaining infamy, names, and a place in local Eavon cultural mythologies completely divergent from Zhāng traditions.
