China Talent Program
I. Program Overview
The China Talent Program is a key initiative implementing the innovation-driven development strategy. It aims to attract world-class scientists and technological leaders capable of making breakthroughs in core technologies, advancing high-tech industries, and developing emerging disciplines to address global scientific frontiers, economic needs, and national priorities.
Since its launch in 2008, the program has successfully recruited numerous overseas high-level talents for innovation and entrepreneurship in China, primarily serving national key innovation projects, priority disciplines, state laboratories, central enterprises, financial institutions, and national high-tech industrial development zones.
II. Program Categories & Eligibility
The program includes four tracks: Innovation Talent, Entrepreneurial Talent, Young Talent, and Postdoctoral Recruitment. (Note: The Entrepreneurial Talent track requiring 2-5 years of business operation in China is not covered in this announcement.)
Applications will be reviewed based on submitted materials only, with no requirement for in-person interviews in China prior to selection. Each applicant may choose only one host institution within China for application.
Applicants must have a PhD and at least 3 years of work experience.
III. Project location
Zhejiang Province: Known for its vibrant private economy, with Hangzhou and Ningbo as its core cities, it is home to innovative companies such as Alibaba. It boasts beautiful scenery, with scenic spots such as West Lake and Qiandao Lake, and the widespread influence of Zhejiang business culture.
Jiangsu Province: Ranked among the top provinces in China in terms of economic output, with Nanjing and Suzhou as its core cities, boasts strong industrial and technological capabilities. It boasts a rich water town culture, with Suzhou's gardens and the Grand Canal designated as World Heritage Sites, and a leading educational system.
Shandong Province: A populous and economically developed province, with Jinan and Qingdao as its core cities, boasts balanced agricultural and industrial development. Home to Qufu, the birthplace of Confucian culture, the unique scenery of Mount Tai and the seaside offers a unique charm, and Shandong cuisine has a profound influence.
Foreign experts’ inspection and tourism program
I. Program Overview
We sincerely invite you to Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, for a 2-4 day inspection tour. The purpose of this trip is to promote cultural exchange and technical cooperation. You will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Huzhou's unique charm and rich cultural background. We will contact local companies or university research institutions related to your field for you to visit. If businesses or universities are unable to accommodate you due to scheduling conflicts, we will also arrange other sightseeing activities for you.
II. Participant Requirements
Education: PhD
Major: Computer, mechanical engineering, software, manufacturing, communications, metallurgy, robotics, cosmetics, chemistry, etc.
Papers: Have 3 Q1 articles, ranked as the first author
Other requirements:Has not worked full-time in China before
Physical condition: In good health, without highly contagious diseases or major physical issues
