Welcome to our S2RI lab!
Ourt group is located at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. We are dedicated to advancing the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of modern infrastructure through smart sensing technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital twins. Our research integrates cutting-edge structural health monitoring (SHM), nondestructive testing (NDT), and predictive analytics to develop innovative solutions for monitoring and enhancing civil infrastructure performance.
Our research spans bridges, highways, railways, nuclear facilities, urban air mobility (UAM) structures, and energy infrastructure. Through collaborations with academia, industry, and government agencies, we aim to create transformative technologies that redefine how we monitor, maintain, and sustain critical infrastructure systems.
