We recognized Sue Balota Abkemeier, class of 1981, for her recent induction into the Lindbergh Athletics Hall of Fame at our Alumni Game on October 4, 2024 during Homecoming Weekend.Â
"Back in my day, we played in 5 inch tall, thick grass. We didn't do that for you guys to mess around."
"Lindbergh Field Hockey was a blessing in disguise. I came in with absolutely no experience with the sport and walked out with so much more than I ever thought I would. I built friendships of a lifetime, gained so many skills beyond the classroom, and built an escape from school and reality. I'm so glad I took the chance to play!"
"I loved field hockey because I had amazing teammates and coaches. The love that everyone had for the sport made it way more enjoyable. I miss playing, but I have the benefit of watching the team grow stronger each and every year."
"I loved Lindbergh Field Hockey because it brought together an amazing group of girls and coaches who always cared for you. I loved watching the team grow as a whole throughout the years and making meaningful relationships."
