For more than 25 years, our organization of parents and teachers has nurtured and supported the performing arts at LHS. We are proud of this program, which attracts students from across the south metro area who want a high-quality performing arts experience. Encore serves a student population that currently includes 140 instrumental students, 120 choral students, and dozens of theater students from throughout LHS.  Students can choose to participate as actors and tech crew even when they aren't actively enrolled in a theater class.  Performers gain valuable experience on stage – while the crew is behind the scenes learning how to stage, light and mix sound for shows, concerts, and activities held in the school's theater.  The Spring Musical is one of the largest productions at Littleton High School and often has around 125 cast, crew, and pit orchestra members, accentuating the team effort across departments.  Many of these students participate in multiple programs and go on to major in the performing arts or music in college.

Encore has helped support funding for a multitude of needs throughout the years, including updated microphones, a new keyboard, an updated computer to keep pace with current technology, a state-of-the-art projector for the theater, and ongoing essential needs like repairs and replacement parts. Current funding projects include support for the purchase of a panel-saw to replace broken equipment and improve safety for the students who build sets, plus a new soundboard to replace the existing outdated board.  We help cover food costs for activities, sponsor workshops, bridge financial need costs, and coordinate ways for people to donate their time.
