Hello,

So I have been trying to add two custom fonts for about three days now and I can't seem to get it. Also not sure if this is a Shopify or a shogun thing at this point.

I am using the Debut theme in Shopify and Shogun page builder on top of that, I can get the font to display on my computer but on other devices the default fonts are displayed.

I noticed on your screenshot that you wrote {% include 'css-fonts' %}, in case you haven't renamed that, it's different from the tutorial. If you purposefully altered the name of the file, Shogun is probably overwriting the custom font code from the tutorial since it's not being loaded into your theme.

You also have broken code in your theme.js file (you pasted CSS code in there instead of Javascript) which is leading to a multitude of different issues:

One guide also said to remove the query string from the Shopify hosted files URL which I'm guessing is this "?v=1620764328" so I tried it both ways.

Then add {% include 'css-fonts' %} to the bottom of my theme.liquid

Might try to just find an alternative for site launch but I'll keep trying to get it! Might be shogun getting in the way now, so also head over to their support site to hit this from both sides.

Thanks!!!

We understand that your theme may have some custom fonts that you use for your store's branding, so why not bring them into Shogun? Bringing custom fonts that already exist in your theme is super easy, they can be used on your elements to make your site look great.

NOTE: The Google Fonts library is already built into Shogun's style options and is ready to use! This guide covers how to add any additional custom fonts from your store's theme or Typekit into Shogun. (If you're unsure how to add custom fonts to your theme, we recommend contacting your theme developer for assistance.)

The font name is case-sensitive, spelling-sensitive, and syntax-sensitive. It should be an exact match to how the font-family is written in the font's CSS. Some fonts will have single quotations around them (i.e. 'font name'); these should be included in the font name field.

Check the integration with your theme, the font will need to be integrated with the main CSS of your theme using the @font-face selector. If you are having trouble with this, we would recommend getting in contact with the developer of your theme, or with Shopify support directly - Shogun is unable to insert fonts into your theme.

To find your Project ID, you first need to create an Adobe account to get started, visit to get started. Once this is done, please follow their guides on how to create a web project with your selected fonts. To get your Project ID, please navigate to the web project of choice.

Many fonts found on Adobe Fonts are only available to be added to a Typekit once you are on a Creative Cloud license - if you are not seeing the prompt to add the font to your WebProject that would be due to the fact that you will need to pay to use it.

It's possible to change the font that you are using in your Text Element. We provide the option to use built in fonts, or fonts that are pulled in from your theme. You can check out our Custom Font article for more information on how to add your own fonts.

You can change the text element style to match your content, or to allow you to customize this to your needs. The 'Theme Style' will inherit the CSS from your theme, whereas the 'Custom Style' option will reset all of the styles of your text except for the font face that you are using.

Hi all. So I just got this game from the Steam sale, and it's my first foray into the Total War series. So far I'm having a great time, but I can't really read the text that well. IS there a recommended fix for this? I downloaded this: =439339 and while it makes the font bigger, there are still many places where it overlaps, due to it being larger than the text box. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Webfonts can be used on a single domain. Agencies responsible for multiple websites, for example web design agencies or hosting providers, may not share a single webfont license across multiple websites.

Every time the webpage using the webfont kit is loaded (i.e, the webfont kit CSS which holds the @font-face rule is called) the counting system counts a single pageview for each webfont within the webfont kit.

We'll supply a kit containing webfonts that can be used within digital ads, such as banner ads. This kit may be shared with third parties who are working on your behalf to produce the ad creatives, however you are wholly responsible for it.

An Electronic Doc license is based on the number of publications in which the font is used. Each issue counts as a separate publication. Regional or format variations don't count as separate publications.

This font is part of the collection by Justified Ink, called Blackletter II. After 15+ years creating, I began to focus on building personal libraries of my work. The Blackletter II Collection was created through writing page after page, and countless hours over a 2 year span of daily practice. Each font from this collection has been hand drawn, manually vectored, and custom set as a type-able font. It comes in a full set of 26 char alpha. Each font family has variations in styles and/or non-alpha chars.

Use the buttons on the Script Editor toolbar for creating and managing HSL scripts, and to customize the display font and hot keys. Right-click and select commands for rapid access to basic Script Editor editing functions from the Script Editor shortcut menu.

If installing in theme.liquid doesn't work, try theme.shogun.liquid or any template with "shogun" in the name. Please note that these templates will get overwritten whenever there are changes made in the Shogun app.

All rights for the fonts given on this website reserved by their owners (authors, designers). The license given on the font page only represents received data. For detailed information, please, read the files (e.g., readme.txt) from archive or visit the website given by an author (designer) or contact with him if you have any doubt.

If there is no reported author (designer) or license, it means that there is no information on the given font, but it does not mean that the font is free.

Here we offer 5 different hand-brushed Japanese Shogun tattoo designs by Master Japanese Calligrapher Eri Takase. For these Shogun tattoo designs the fonts are different, but the characters and the meaning are the same. So order the style you like - the meaning is the same for each design.

A word can be written in many ways, using unusual symbols or letters from other languages. Sometimes this is called "Writing Shogun in different fonts", although it is actually changing the letters that make up a name or other word. You can find or create many variations of Shogun spelling with cool symbols on this site.

This fonts are authors' property, and are either shareware, demo versions or public domain. The licence mentioned above the download button is just an indication. Please look at the readme-files in the archives or check the indicated author's website for details, and contact him if in doubt. If no author/licence is indicated that's because we don't have information, that doesn't mean it's free.

I had previously uploaded 2 custom fonts and had them set for my headings. Everything was working great. Something recently happened/changed and now all my headings have changed to a simple times new roman font. When I look at my CSS, all the coding looks the same, but the fonts previews (in the manage custom files section) are not showing the correct font. I am worried about going in and playing with the CSS as it took me FOREVER when I was originally creating the website. Is there a simple fix? Do I need to re-upload the fonts? I will copy and paste the code below in a comment in case that helps.

I would try reuploading the fonts. I can't think of what else could be happening. I have noticed recently that the images uploaded using "Manage Custom Files" have been changing randomly, causing me to have to change my CSS. I don't know why.

@alisonriley22 did you ever come up with a solution for this. I am having a similar problem with my website. When I re-upload the fonts it seems to sort the problem out, although it is happening quite often?

Hi Luke @Jonesluke25, most likely the problem is not the fonts, but the targets themselves. Squarespace made a few adjustments and some targets don't function the same way they used to. You need to check the console and identify the new targets.

Step 5:

Now I'll bet you're wondering how to add text and titles? Choose the home button, and choose between 'Title', 'Caption' and 'Credits'. Once you add text, you can use the text tool to change the font, size, color, etc. Play with the different positions on the screen to get the desired effect. 006ab0faaa
