Locally Funded Projects

Locally-Funded Projects (LFPs) are key programs from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) that aim to quickly improve basic services in all local areas. The fund for these projects comes from the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF)—a special allocation from the national government's budget. Instead of a national office doing the work, the department give the funds directly to your local government (province, city, municipality, or barangay). This allows local officials to immediately build or fix facilities that their community needs most. The DILG is in charge of setting the rules for how the fund must be spent and then closely monitoring the projects. This ensures all funds are used wisely and efficiently to create essential facilities like local roads, water systems, health centers, and disaster equipment, promoting honest and speedy development where you live.
