MARITIME AND ARCHIPELAGIC NATION AWARENESS MONTH (MANA Mo)

Presidential Proclamation No. 316, s. 2017 declared September as the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo). The proclamation encourages national government agencies, government-owned and controlled corporations, local government units, the private sector, academic institutions, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to undertake programs and activities that raise awareness of maritime and achipelagic issues and strengthen the country's maritime consciousness.

Further, Office of the President Memorandum Circular No. 87, s. 2025 directs all government agencies and instrumentalities and encourages local government units and the private sector to promote awareness of the Philippines as a maritime and archipelagic nation.
