The Regional Director received a text message dated october 10, 2023 wherein the Office of the President together with partner Private Sector are requesting for details of existing orphanages or its equivalent that is Private or NGO-run in the LGU (not DSWD run, not DSWD accredited, and not LGU managed).
Mobilize and remind their respective Local Price Coordinating Councils (LPCCs) to implement R.A. No. 7581 by enjoining traders, wholesalers, and retailers to adjust their prices accordingly and undertake necessary information dissemination activities through various media platforms and display of price ceilings in public markets and the like;
If applicable, coordinate with the Sanggunian regarding the enactment of an ordinance to ensure that the prices of necessities and prime commodities has an average or prevailing prices; and
Remind deputized barangay officials and NGOs to monitor abnormal price increases within their respective localities.
Coordinate with sectors and industries regarding programs by the national government intended to stabilize prices and supply;
Conduct in-depth analysis on causes for price fluctuations;
Recommend actions or steps to correct unwarranted price increases and supply shortages;
Ensure that the trade offered for sale at retail should be publicly displayed by appropriate tags or labels indicating the price of such articles and such articles to be sold uniformly and without discrimination on the stated price, pursuant to R.A. No. 71; and
Seek technical assistance from national government projects or programs related to local enterprises to mitigate the problem, particularly on the informal local enterprises in their locality
