Monitoring of Dry and Cold Storage Warehouses
In consonance with the campaign of the Department of Agriculture (DA) against agricultural smuggling and price manipulation of agricultural products to advance food security and safety in the country, this Department issued Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 2023-061, enjoining the local government units (LGUs) to, among other things, make an inventory of cold storage warehouses (CSWs) operating in their respective areas of jurisdiction.' Said inventory, should be submitted, and harmonized with the DA pursuant to their authority/mandate to accredit CSWs as emphasized under DA Administrative Circular No.1, s. 2021.3
