The program highlights the vital role of the youth in the governmentโs anti-illegal drugs campaign by fostering education, awareness, and creativity through various activities including digital poster-making, reel-making contests, and on-the-spot poster-slogan competitions.
The culmination activity is set on November 18, 2025, at Balulang National High School, Cagayan de Oro City where students from select schools across the city will come together to showcase their outputs and strengthen their commitment to a drug-free lifestyle.

The event brought together key stakeholders committed to advancing the Katarungang Pambarangay system in the region including Provincial and City Prosecutors, representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), and key DILG personnel.
The focus group aimed to deepen the participants' understanding of the Katarungang Pambarangay Law, its policies, and operational procedures. CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, May 19โ20, 2025 โ LGOO Jess Batoon from the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) represented the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG-10) as one of the assessors in the ongoing search for good practices of Bahay Pag-Asa (BPA) nationwide. The assessment was conducted at BPA facilities in Macanhan, Cagayan de Oro City, Claveria, and Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.
This nationwide initiative, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), aims to recognize outstanding practices in DSWD-registered or accredited BPA centers established by highly urbanized cities (HUCs), provincial governments, and non-government organizations (NGOs). Cagayan de Oro City - The Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) recognizes exemplary performance of barangay-based conflict resolution bodies. In preparation of the CY 2025 LTIA
implementation, the DILG 10 through the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) conducted a coordination meeting with the cluster heads, program managers, and focal persons via Zoom on February 25, 2025.
In her welcome address, Officer-in-Charge Yvette Tolentino-Sunga underscored the vital role and guidance of the field officers in the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) implementation. OIC Sunga further encouraged the attendees to actively participate in the discussion, and ensure that all Barangays are properly assessed to help elevate their performance.
Regional focal person, LGOO Jacklyn Mariz Occeรฑa, discussed the criteria and references, emphasizing that its successful execution requires careful planning of the assessment schedule, and ensuring timely submission of the required documents. LGOO Occeรฑa then showcased the LTIA-Information System version 2.0 which now streamlines the selection and nomination process of exemplary barangays.

DILG Officer-in-Charge Yvette Tolentino Sunga delivered her opening message, emphasizing the importance to ensure the completeness of the required documents before submission to avoid delays and ensure a seamless transaction. She also enjoined all LGU officials and employees to submit their applications at least seven (7) working days before the intended date of departure.

PDO Jorhan M. Capenpilan discussed the guidelines on the construction of Halfway House under the ECLIP Program. He emphasized that the Halfway House offers menu of inter-ventions that ensures the security of Former Rebels and Former Violent Extremists as they transition to civilian life.
The activity was followed by an open forum. As agreed during the meeting, the LGUs will send a letter to DILG Central Office through Regional Office for guidance regarding the change of location for the construction of their Halfway Houses.
