Our chapter makes statements on matters of importance to faculty at the college. We follow a democratic process for doing so. First, the Executive Committee issues a draft statement and requests member input. Revisions are made based on member input, including input via a chapter meeting. Finally, chapter members vote, via electronic vote, on whether or not to adopt the statement. If a majority of voting members vote to adopt a statement, the statement is adopted by the chapter as a whole.
