The Town and DPW would say this project is important to do in the future but just not right now.
This project was put on hold during the pandemic
It has been almost ten years, I believe it is now time for this to happen.

Not much is going on right now, Still waiting from an email back from Dave Pinsonneault in regards to the possible change in fire hydrant color change. What he stated in his past email was that these have been the colors for over 20 years. It would be an expensive fix as well as more than a weeklong project, in order to paint every fire hydrant in town.
Today an email was sent out to the DPW Director Dave Pinsonneault. The email was sent out a little bit before noon, we have not gotten an email yet back from him.
Today we got an email back from the town describing that the colors are fine the way they are now. They also know that these have been the colors for over 20 years. As well as the fire dept. does not have a problem with the colors. We have emailed back however we never got an email back yet.
Today we are getting approval for this project to be looked upon farther. Recently, the DPW and Town of Lexington was emailed and linked to a tweet to view this site.
