Dear friends,
we made a trip in our yard, kindergarten yard. We have a large yard with many plants that we want to present to you.

Thuja
Thuja occidentalis, also known as northern white-cedar,[1] eastern white-cedar,[2] or arborvitae,[2][3] is an evergreen coniferous tree, in the cypress family Cupressaceae, which is native to eastern Canada and much of the north-central and northeastern United States.[3][4] It is widely cultivated as an ornamental plant. It is not to be confused with Juniperus virginiana (eastern red cedar).

Dear partners,
after I presented the few plants from our yard, I diveded the children in 4 little groups, they got this sheet and they had to search the plants from the imagies. We helped the to paste them and then they had to name the plants.
Welcome to Central Park in Cluj-Napoca!
We organized a mini trip with the children 👧👦 from the Grădinița cu Program Prelungit ”Mămăruța” to the largest and oldest park in Cluj-Napoca.
Central Park ”Simion Bărnuțiu” is a lovely green space in Cluj-Napoca and is home to all kinds of birds and plants. The park also has a pretty lake. It’s a great place to walk, play, and relax.
😲 Did you know Central Park is over 180 years old?
It’s like a giant green playground with surprises hiding in every corner!
Are you ready to explore it? Let’s go!
🌳 Meet the Magic Trees
Central Park is home to some real giants! Big and strong, the oaks and chestnuts are the oldest and wisest trees in the park! Willows love the lake and their branches hang low, almost like they’re waving at you!
The oak trees are large, strong trees with thick trunks and wide tops that give lots of shade in the summer. Their leaves grow in a spiral pattern and usually have rounded edges. They produce acorns, which are nuts that grow in small cups.
The chestnut trees are large, majestic trees that can reach heights of 20–30 meters. Them have big, hand-shaped leaves and grow round, spiky fruits that hold seeds called "conkers." These seeds can't be eaten, but children often use them to play games.
Challenge: Can you find the biggest tree and give it a hug? We found it! Look it!
The willow trees grow quickly and have long, thin branches with narrow leaves. They often grow near water like rivers, lakes, and ponds, where their branches gently move in the wind.
🌼 Flower Power!🌷
The park is a giant flower garden all year round!
Spring brings tulips and daffodils in all the colors of the rainbow!
Tulips are colorful flowers with smooth, cup-shaped petals. They come in many colors like red, yellow, purple, pink, and white. Tulips bloom in the spring and are a sign that warmer weather is coming. (during the visit they had not yet bloomed)
Daffodils are bright yellow or white flowers that bloom in early spring. They are easy to recognize by their trumpet-shaped centers and petal-like outer parts.
🦉 Meet the Birds!
The park is a paradise for our feathered friends.
🦢 Mute swans are large, graceful birds with white feathers. They glide smoothly across the water, looking like ballerinas on a stage. Even though they’re called “mute,” they can make soft sounds and are known for their beauty and calm presence.
🦆 Mallard ducks in Central Park Cluj are often seen swimming in the ponds and lakes. The male ducks have bright green heads and brown chests, while the females are brown with a blue spot on their wings. They like to look for food in the water or swim around. Their quacking sounds make the park feel lively and are loved by visitors.
🕊️ Pigeons are clever birds that walk around looking for food. They make soft "coo" sounds to talk to each other. Pigeons have great memories and can recognize places they’ve been before. They can even find their way around the city like they have a built-in map!
