This story revolves around two main characters: a young boy and his grandmother. As with typical children of his age, the boy, CJ, grumbles and questions why they don't have the things that others do, and why they have to go somewhere after church unlike his friends. His wise grandmother helps him appreciate what they have and what they can do, finding the beauty in everything as they reach their destination: a soup kitchen where they volunteer.
