Sabrina Rose is a multi-disciplinary artist with a focus on textiles. Her background in fashion design, paired with various earth-based and spiritual studies led to her completing a Masters of Environmental Studies, examining death as a multispecies collaboration through arts. Her thesis collection explored the potential of communing and working with other species, such as fungi as an artistic inspiration and medium. Although her medium is constantly evolving, her admiration for the natural cycles and elements of the earth are a continuous thread through her work. Placing the process of experimentation at the forefront, she is often led by intuition and a sort of ceremonial connection with her materials to reflect on themes of humans’ relationship with nature and its manifested tension and turmoil in our world.
