Medicinal plant walks
Medicinal plant walks are back for 2025! Join me for monthly gatherings in neighbourhood parks and forests in the Waterloo region for a deep dive into the healing virtures of local, wild medicinal plants. On each walk, I will introduce three or four medicinal plants commonly found in our area and talk about who these plants are, how they have been used traditionally, and what relationships we can build with them today.
Dates:
Wednesday, July 30th, 6-8 pm, Huron natural area
Wednesday, September 3rd, 6-8 pm, Breithaupt park
Wednesday, October 8, 5-7 pm, location TBD
Cost: 20$ per person; accompanying children free of charge

Medicine-making workshops
These stand-alone workshops are typically offered from November to April, and include topics such as Elderberry syrup, Medicinal oils and salves, Lotion-crafting, Herbal approaches to respiratory infections, Herbs for digestion, etc. If there is a topic that is of particular interest to you, reach out, let me know!

Classes in Herbal Medicine
Six-part Experiential Herbalism class series
Learn to make your own herbal remedies: teas, tinctures, infused oils, salves, syrups and more
Learn basic principles of herbalism and medicinal properties of common herbs
Create your personal home herbal pharmacy for your family's needs
Location: 349 Ascot place, Waterloo
Dates and times: This workshop series is being offered again in 2025. It will consist of six monthly 3-hour sessions, running between May and October. Exact dates and times TBD. Contact for more information.
Cost: 80$ per person per class. Includes two remedies per class.
