Lessard Racing 

Hi! My name is Jacob Lessard (Jake). I'm 17 years old. I live in Dalzell, South Carolina. I'm an 11th grader at Thomas Sumter Academy and I play Varsity Football  #GoGenerals! #TSA

Over the past 12 years I've raced at the Mideast Series, NCHSA (North Carolina Hare Scrambles), GNCC's, NEPG, SETRA & Carolina XC LLC Series and Full Gas Sprint Enduro.  My racing journey began when I was 6 years old and my dad brought home my first dirtbike (Honda). I talk more about that on the SETRA page. I raced the trail-riders at the age of 6 for the first time in Sumter, SC (My home club). This is where the love of Harescramble racing began for me. 

So, What is a Harescramble?

A harescramble is similar to an Enduro in that it takes place on all natural, rough terrain. The only difference here is that a harescramble is an all out, bar to bar race. Whoever crosses the finish first is the winner. The challenge is always passing whoever is in front of you because the track can be so tight and unpredictable. The start of a harescramble begins with everyone on one line. Harescrambles are generally much shorter races than Enduro races.

In addition to Hare Scrambles, I have really enjoyed dabbling in Motocross.
