Hillside Slide

In the fall of 2022 the HSA was approached by teachers and administrators with the dream of transorming our erroding hillside with beautiful slides.  As it is now the hill is rocky, often muddy, and offers opportunties for kids to run up and stumble down during recess.  This results in dirty knees, and unfortunately injuries.  

The dream of installing Hillside Slides would give the hillside purpose and additional equipment for the students at LES. 

During the summer of 2022 the hillside was looked at and we were provided the estimate that installing one slide would cost $30,000 and two slides would cost $50,000.  The HSA at that time agreed with the teachers and administration that two slides would be better than one and we started raising funds.

To date (September 2023) we have raise over 1/10th of the cost!  With over $5,000 in the bank we have a solid start on making this dream a reality.  Through continued fundraising efforts and soliciting donations we hope to see these slide into our kids present, not just a dream for the future.
