How do I sign up for the platform?
There are two ways to sign up:
Sign up with your email
Go to lernst.com
Click on the "Sign Up" button at the top right corner.
Select "Student" as your role.
Your time zone will be automatically chosen, but you can change it if needed.
Enter your name, email, and password.
Confirm your password.
Check the box to agree to the website’s terms and conditions.
Click "Sign Up".
You’ll receive a verification email.
Click the link in the email to verify your account.
Or Sign up with Google
Click "Sign up with Google" during the sign-up process.
Use your Gmail account to create your profile quickly without entering details.
Can I use the platform without registering?
Yes, you can browse the platform without registering. However, if you want to take any action, like booking a class with a tutor, buying a group class, or purchasing a package, you’ll need to create an account and sign in.
How do I verify my email?
What should I do if I forget my password?
Go to the login page and click on "Forgot Password".
You’ll receive an email with a link. Click the link and create a new password.
After updating your password, you can sign in with the new one.
Can I change my password?
Yes, you can change your password.
Go to your profile after signing in.
Scroll down to "Update Password".
Enter your new password and click "Update".
If you want to keep your old password, leave the field blank.
Can I update or change my email?
Yes, you can update your email.
Go to your profile after signing in.
Scroll down to "Update Email".
Enter your new email and click "Update".
If you want to keep your current email, leave it as it is.
How do I find a tutor that fits my needs?
Go to lernst.com and click on "Tutors" at the top of the page
Use the filters on the left side to:
Choose available days that work for you
Select the level you need (beginner, intermediate, etc.)
Filter by language and specializations (like conversation, grammar, etc.)
Search by country if needed
You can:
Read tutor profiles to learn about them
Message tutors with any questions
Can I read reviews about tutors before booking?
Yes! Every tutor's profile has a review section
Just scroll down on their profile page to see what other students say
How do I check a tutor's available times?
Open the tutor's profile and scroll to the schedule section
Use the calendar to:
Pick different days/months (available days are light blue)
See all open time slots on the right side
If you don't see a suitable time, message the tutor to ask about availability
How do I see lesson prices and packages?
On the tutors page: Each tutor card shows their hourly rate
On a tutor's profile:
See their lesson price on the left side
View package deals (bulk hours at a discount)
Some tutors offer special discount coupons
How do I book a trial lesson?
Sign in to lernst.com
Go to the tutor's profile
On the left side, click "Book Trial" (30-minute discounted lesson)
Choose your language and special
Pick a date/time slot
Pay to confirm your booking
Can I message a tutor before booking?
Yes! On the tutor's profile:
Below their picture, click "Send Message"
Type your question and click "Send"
How do I schedule regular lessons?
After your trial lesson:
Buy a package from the tutor's profile (left side)
Choose package size (5/10/20/30 hours)
Go to the tutor's schedule section
Book lessons using your package hours ( 30 or 60 minutes)
Choose any available time slots
Can I book multiple lessons at once?
Yes! When booking:
Choose "Repeat weekly" option
Select how many weeks (1 month or more)
System will book same time each week (if available)
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit/debit cards
Digital wallets.
How do packages work?
Buy hours in bulk (saves money)
Use hours for 30-min or 60-min lessons
Hours stay in your account until used
Can I buy single lessons?
Yes, you can buy:
1-hour lessons (minimum)
Cannot buy 30-min single lessons (only in packages)
How do I check my remaining hours?
Go to your dashboard
Click "My Packages"
See: Total hours / Used hours / Expiration date
Click "Action" for more details
How do I cancel a package?
Go to "My Packages" section in your dashboard.
Find your package and click on "Action"
Click "Cancel Package"
Give reason and confirm
You get platform credit (no cash refund)
Use credit for new packages/group classes and trial lessons with other tutors.
What's your refund policy?
No cash refunds
Canceled packages become platform credit
Use credit for:
New packages (same or different tutor)
Group classes
Trial lessons
How do I join my lesson?
Go to your dashboard
Click on "My Lessons"
Find your booked lesson (shows date, time, and subject)
15 minutes before the lesson, the "Join Lesson" button will appear
Click on it to enter your lesson
Do I need to install any software?
Can I use my phone or tablet?
Yes, you can use a phone, tablet, or computer

What if I have technical issues?
Tell your tutor immediately
If disconnected:
Go to "My Lessons"
Click on "Action" then you will see "Report" section.

How do I test my microphone and camera?
Before joining, the platform lets you check your mic and camera
What if my tutor doesn’t show up?
Wait 10 minutes, If they don’t arrive, the lesson credit will be returned to your balance
How do I reschedule a lesson?
Go to "My Lessons"
Click on "Action" you will see "Reschedule" button.
Click on it and pick a new available time, If no time works, message the tutor to arrange one
You can reschedule up to 6 hours before the lesson. After that, rescheduling is not allowed
What if I cancel a lesson?
Cancel 12+ hours before: Get your credit back
Cancel within 12 hours: Lose the credit

Can I change tutors if I’m not happy?
Yes! Cancel your package anytime (up to 3 times during the package's validity period. (3 months))
You’ll get platform credit to book with a new tutor. (The credit retains the original expiration date of your package.)
What is the Wallet?
Your Wallet holds platform credits from:
Canceling a package (mid-subscription).
Canceling a trial lesson.
Eligible refunds.
Use credits to book:
✅ New packages
✅ Trial lessons
✅ Group classes
How long do credits last?
Trial lesson credits: Expire after 1 month.
Package credits: Match your package’s original validity period.
Example:
You buy a package on January 1 (expires April 1).
Cancel on February 15 → Credits expire on April 1 (original package end date).
Can I refund credits?
No. Credits are non-refundable once issued.
Where can I check my credits?
Go to Dashboard → Wallet to see:
Your balance.
Expiry dates.
How to use credits?
At checkout:
Credits are automatically applied if available.
If credits cover the full cost, no payment is needed.
If credits cover partially, pay the rest via card/other methods.
Example:
Service cost: $100
Your credits: $50
You pay: $50 (remaining).
Can I get feedback from my tutor after lessons?
Do you offer certificates or reports for completed lessons?
Yes! We provide certificates.

How do I update my profile information?
Go to Dashboard > Profile > Edit Profile.

Can I upload documents or assignments for my tutor?
Yes! Two ways:
Send files through the chat with your tutor.
Upload in "My Lessons" > Lesson Materials before your session.
How do I manage notifications?
Go to Dashboard > Profile.
Scroll down to Notification Section.
Toggle the switch On/Off for both:
App Notifications

No need! Payment info is secure and handled automatically during bookings.

What is the cancellation policy?
For Packages:
Valid for 3 months from purchase.
You can cancel up to 3 times within this period.
Must cancel 48 hours before expiration (no cancellations on the last 2 days).
Cannot cancel if booked lessons remain—complete or cancel those first.
For Single Lessons:
Cancel 12+ hours before → credit returned.
Cancel within 12 hours → credit lost.
Refunds: No cash refunds. Canceled packages become platform credits for future bookings.
Platform credits retain the original package’s validity period and will expire afterward.
What is the reschedule policy?
You may reschedule up to 6 hours before your scheduled lesson. After this time, rescheduling is not allowed.
If your tutor needs to reschedule, they may send you a reschadule request.
You can choose to:
✅ Accept - Your lesson will move to the new time
❌ Reject - The lesson will be cancelled
The request will expire if not responded to within 6 hours
What if I have a dispute with my tutor?
Go to "My Lessons" > select the lesson > click "Report".
Describe the issue—our team will review and respond.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes!
Packages are already discounted (price per hour decreases with larger packages).
Some tutors offer coupon codes—ask them directly!
Student Guidelines (Privacy & Safety)
Respect tutors and classmates—no harassment.
No sharing personal contact details (use platform chat for safety).

How is my personal information protected?
We use secure encryption for all data.
Your info is never shared with third parties.
Payment details are processed securely—we don’t store your card info.
