Talk Title: Constrained Sets in Finite Groups

Abstract. Product-free sets and related notions of constrained sets arise in various key areas of mathematics, e.g., number theory, graph theory and finite geometry. By investigating these concepts in a group theoretic setting, exciting new group theories and insights in the original setting arise. We shall discuss these constrained sets as well as some applications in characterizing finite groups.
